Knowledge Transfer

(Montreal, Hamburg, Munich, Granada)

In order to inform practitioners, to foster a public discourse and to provide policy makers with a reasonable ethical orientation and evidence-based recommendations, the project seeks to extend knowledge beyond the academic circles. Apart from publications in research journals, we intent to transfer our research results in publications for practitioners and other stakeholders, in press releases and media reports. We plan to provide evidence-based and ethically well-founded consensus recommendations on the most important challenges in the field of BCIs.

Together with our international partners in the research consortium we will develop a policy brief intended to inform decision makers about the current state of BCI and in particular the ethical, legal and social considerations that need to be taken into account when regulating and deciding about BCI use.

In order to improve the public’s understanding of BCIs and the ethical, legal and social challenges that come along with it, we will create an openly available information podcast near the end of our 3-year research project.
